Saltaire- One Day Photography Workshop £65
Based at the Butterfly Rooms Gallery in the World Heritage Site of Saltaire, West Yorkshire, this one-day course combines informal classroom based learning with an on-location practical. The well-preserved Victorian mill village of Saltaire features fine Italianate architecture and imposing buildings, alongside both the River Aire and Leeds-Liverpool Canal. This backdrop provides a wealth of subject matter and inspiration.
The workshops are about improving your photography using your own camera, so you are welcome to bring a compact, bridge, or SLR type camera (either film or digital). All levels of experience from beginner up are also welcome.

The Butterfly Rooms |
The workshop runs from 10.00am-4.30pm, and includes:
- Welcome and Introduction at the Butterfly Rooms Gallery
- Presentation about photographic terms, techniques and compositional advice
- Walking tour of Saltaire, stopping at points of interest for photographic opportunities and tuition
- Lunch break (food and refreshments are not provided, but there are a variety of shops in the village where these can be purchased)
- Continuation of walking tour around Saltaire
- Classroom evaluation and critique of images brought by workshop participants

If you order a Gift Voucher it will be posted to your billing address, and there will be an additional charge of £1.50 for P&P. Vouchers are valid for 6 months and can be redeemed on any of the Saltaire workshops within that period (subject to availability).
Please Note: This workshop involves a moderate amount of walking and there are stairs to the classroom.
