About Martin Priestley

Martin Priestley was born in Otley, West Yorkshire in 1977. He became interested in Photography in 2001, using his fathers old Praktica SLR camera. A keen hiker and cyclist he was drawn towards landscape photography. As his interest in photography continued to grow, Martin enrolled on a photographic degree course at Leeds Metropolitan University. He graduated in 2007. Martins work has appeared in publications including The Guardian, Amateur Photographer , Practical Photography, Digital Photo and The Architects' Journal. In 2009 Martin was commissioned by The Churches Conservation Trust in a major project to photograph their properties. Martin uses a variety of equipment, both digital and film based.
